Hi Everyone! Today I have an interesting flower to talke about! It takes the shape of a Spider Web!
The white flower in the picture is a Hymenocallis. There are very many types of Hymenocallis genus that makes me unable to identify which one that is. Hymenocallis belong in the Amaryllidaceae family and grow in moist soil. It is quite common in Jakarta and can be found in sidewalks, gardens and nice housing areas around town; this is because it has a low maintenance level. Most people call this the Spider Lily. This is an unusual flower because its petals are long and thin. This plant is said to be used in folkloric medicine and an example would be the crushed bulb mixed with oil would be used to treat freckles and pimples.
Hope you enjoyed my blog! Stay tuned!
